The Gospel requires daily decisions and commitment. If we are honest we all know that we are one decision away from derailing our lives. We must learn from the examples who have gone before us and commit ourselves daily to obedience and the pursuit of God.
The Gospel causes us to do crazy stuff. The outflow of the Jews revival manifested itself in their willful dedication of Their Lives, Their Praise, and Their Stuff. When confronted with the overwhelming grace, forgiveness, and steadfast love of Christ the only logical conclusion would be to surrender our all to Him.
How does one know if they have truly repented? What does repentance look like? Nehemiah 10 tells us of the covenant that the Jews took before the Lord as a response that they took this decision seriously. How seriously do we take our sin and repentance?
