Last week we saw that change always brings testing. In chapter 5 we discover that change does not necessarily create the opposition but it will reveal it. If the external attacks fail, the enemy will often resort to attacks from within. How do we overcome these internal attacks?
The second prong of the secret to contentment is generosity. It is difficult to be content when you are tightly grasping onto things as if they are “YOURS.” God has richly blessed us. He commands us to be generous with those blessings. Biblical Generosity focuses on the heart of the giver not the gift.
It is wonderful to recount God’s marvelous provision in our lives. Paul thanks the Philippian believers for being used by God to be that provision. God loves to work through people. Are you willing and available to be that instrument of God’s provision in the life of someone else?
