God is angry at Jonah’s sin and rebellion. God is also gracious in His relentless pursuit of Jonah’s heart. It is the intention of God’s grace to change us. God is more committed to you than are to Him. Life’s storms are where God’s Holiness and Grace collide to rescue you from yourself.
If God responded to us the way that we respond to other people, none of us would ever have been saved. We are more like Jonah than we want to admit. God’s Word always calls for a response. Is it possible that in some way we are running from God right now?
